Technical Operator

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support to centrifuge and other oil room equipment operations and perform frequent analyses on products and raw ingredients in accordance with company standards. The Machine Operator will comply with policies, procedures, quality standards and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as well as safety and environmental regulations. This individual will monitor production operation and perform troubleshooting while following policies and procedures regarding equipment, components, and finished goods.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Change finisher screen. Drum and dump oil. Raw oil recovery. Monitor equipment operations and report abnormalities to supervisor. Distinguish tools and their uses. Maintain accurate logs and records. Communicate with other departments. Assist supervisor as needed. Ensure good safety practices. Identify parts needed for repairs. Operate forklift to move products, equipment and supplies. Perform cleaning/sanitation of equipment and area to ensure GMP standards. This individual will monitor production and/or packaging operations and perform troubleshooting while following policies and procedures regarding equipment, components, and finished goods. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS [Minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily]

High School Diploma or GED.

Vocational School or some college courses.

TRAINING, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing and or operating production equipment is required. Must have good working knowledge of oil room and juice room operations and understand their processes. Position requires mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot process equipment. Good written and verbal communication skills a must. Must be able to qualify on the forklift. Must have the ability to perform routine, repetitive movements. Position requires moving materials weighing over 50 pounds, lifting from all levels, pushing and pulling objects with force. Must be able to climb ladders and perform activities at heights.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Learn other jobs in functional area. Drives lift truck requiring forklift license. Participate in the CCJ safety program. Train new employees. Operate other equipment as needed.
